A male figure is seated on the left studying a globe; in the centre another male stands in conversation with the third figure, gesturing towards the globe; the third figure is female, seated next to a rose bush and holding an open book. Behind them is a temple-like building amongst a line of trees. The inside of the box is lined with pink paper and it contains four miniature books.
