Costume for believed to be for a Huntsman / Prince's Friend in Swan Lake designed by Alexandre Golovin for the Bolshoi production in 1901. Purchased by Diaghilev for the Ballets Russes in 1911.

The costume consists of a black velvet jacket cut away at the front, with triangular lappets at the waist. False black velvet oversleeves hang behind white cotton undersleeves, gathered in bands of gold lame at the elbow and wrist.

The customs stamps, stamped in the costume during the Ballets Russes tours can be seen in the neckline of the jacket.
