Costume for The English Prince in Petipa's ballet The Sleeping Princess designed by Leon Bakst, Diaghilev Ballet, 1921:
Long-skirted 18th century coat of ruby velvet stencilled with an all-over pattern of foliage in gold paint. The crimson repp revers bound in gold braid extend to the hem. The broad cuffs of crimson repp are appliqued with white silk elongated ovals trimmed with brass studs. The elaborate pocket flaps are of gold braid.
Waistcoat of crimson repp barred with scalloped stripes of white satin bordered with gold embroidery and heavy gold fringe.
Tricorne hat trimmed with gold lace and bottle-green cock feathers.
