Costume for Prince Charming in scene 5 of Petipa's The Sleeping Princess designed by Leon Bakst, Diaghilev Ballet, 1921, consisting of:
Ivory velvet 18th century coat embroidered in heavy gold thread, with front bands of silver lace and heavy silver frogging. The pink crepe-de-chine revers are bound in silver lace. The white cuffs have an inner cuff of light blue and white striped satin bound with black velvet ribbon.
Kilt in white satin with festoons of silver tissue and silver tassels with a triangular motif evoking a 'sporran'.
White cambric shirt fastening at back with full sleeves. On the neckband is a silver bow from which falls a lace fichu and six knots of ruby-pink velvet ribbon.
White satin bolero with festoons of silver tissue outlined with heavy silver braid trimmed with silver tassels.
Scarlet fixed sash with gold fringed ends. Where the sash-ends cross is fixed a paste and brass metal star in the form of a Maltese cross with fleur-de-lys
Sash (another example) in rose pink silk trimmed with gold braid.
Black velvet tricorne trimmed with gold lace and pink ostrich feathers.
