Costume designed by Nicholas Roerich and made by Caffi for an Ancestor in Nijinsky's ballet Le Sacre du printemps for Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, 1913.
Man's white flannelette robe of white with cotton inset at waist to hips for the belt and enabling gathering over the top. Orange under-arm gusssets. The robe is decorated at the neck and hem in purple pink and red with diamonds circles and triangles, the hem topped by a line of 'mushroom' shapes.
