Costume designed by Nicholas Roeric for one of Five Young People in Nijinsky's ballet Le Sacre du printemps for Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes 1913. Robe of off white flannelette with wool hip insertion and red underarm gussets. On the arms and hem are orange motifs on a green ground; from the hem band rise orange 'ladders' topped with a segmented ring on a green ground. On the front chest are two green circular decorations with yellow and red.
The belt allocated to this costume includes a painted wooden dagger. The belt has 15 metal studs and is missing a further 3

Costume designed by Nicholas Roeric for one of Five Young People in Nijinsky's ballet Le Sacre du printemps for Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes 1913. Robe of off white flannelette with wool hip insertion and red underarm gussets.
