Wooden fan, of overlapping sticks held together by ribbon, with individual sticks autographed by actors and actresses.

This fan was probably originally autographed for the actress Mabel Terry-Lewis (1872-1957), a member of the Terry acting dynasty. The original signatories are Ellen Terry, who was Mabel Terry-Lewis's aunt, Henry Irving, Herbert Beerbohm Tree, Réjane and Coquelin. The fan passed to Terry-Lewis's nephew John Gielgud. In June 1956 he signed it himself, along with Peggy Ashcroft, Edith Evans, Sybil Thorndike, Lewis Casson and Gwen Ffrangcon-Davies. The final signature is that of Irene Worth, dated 18 September 1967.
