The author for Raising The Wind is incorrectly printed on this playbill as Charles Lamb Kenney (1821-1881) who was the second son of its actual author, the playwright James Kenney (1780-1849). In it Henry Irving played the swindling comic lead Jeremy Diddler, from whose name the term 'diddle' is thought to have derived.
