VANDA EVINA IN LES ROSES

As well as preparing themselves physically through costume, hair and make-up, performers use their time in the dressing room to mentally prepare themselves. Laura Knight was one of the first artists to be given access to performers backstage. In this drawing of dancer Vanda Evina, she captures a rare moment of quiet contemplation.
