Object history | This is one of eight unused cuttings of wallpaper from the decoration of Cragside, Rothbury, Northumberland. Several of the wallpapers are known to have been provided by Cowtan & Sons, interior decorators. An order from the owner of the house, Sir William Armstrong, dated 24 July 1874, includes the papers E.872-1978 and E.873-1978. This paper was used in the Servants' Hall at Cragside. |
