| Object history | The images occur in Ali Bey el Abbassi, Voyage D'Ali Bey en Afrique et en Asie...,3 vols., Paris, 1814, together with the accompanying Explication des Planches, Paris, 1814, and in Travels of Ali Bey in Morocco, Tripoli, Cyprus, Egypt, Arabia, Syria, and Turkey..., 2 vols, Longman, etc., 1816. The American nationality of the engravers suggests that the four plates are from an American edition. |
