Wood-engraving of a 'Punch' illustration depicting five scenes with the title top centre 'DIANA IN 1879 OR WHAT WE ARE COMING TO'. The main scene is a woman and man horse riding in a field with figures of horse riders in the background with the copy 'Pleasures of a Chaperon "Come on Uncle Tom Let's have a there Rails before some Duffer breaks the Top one"'. Top left scene is a man on a horse in front of a gate with other horse riders behind him with the copy 'Hold Hard Charlie of they will ride over us!'. Top right scene is a woman standing and a man seated in a drawing room with the copy 'You need not have waited dinner, I only want a Cutlet & cigarette'. Bottom left scene is of a woman walking in a field, there is a man on a horse and in the distance another woman on horse holding another horse with the copy 'Never mind me Sir! My Sister has caught my horse!'. Bottom right scene is a man in the back of a horse and cart talking to a man on a horse with the copy 'Yes, lamed my horse borrowed a cart and got a lift home!'
