Object history | Headdress for the Rose Fairy worn by Joyce Graeme in Marius Petipa's ballet 'Aurora's Wedding', Australian National Theatre Ballet, Princess Theatre, Melbourne, 9th June 1949. The music for the ballet was composed by Tchaikovsky, and was staged by Joyce Graeme. The scenery and costumes were designed by Kenneth Rowell. On the opening night, Joyce Graeme danced the leading role of Princess Aurora, but appeared at later performances as the Rose Fairy. |
