Production | Wu T'ung (Boston) 15/6/89: Neolithic, East Coast. Thomas Lawton 11/7/90: Duan Fang called this form deng (stirrup) but at Anyang the shape is described rather than given a name. If tomb no.5 at Anyang, where similar pieces have more perforations on dics. Late Shang, 1200-> Hayashi Minao described this shape as a continuation into Shang of a late Longshan style- he describes them as supports for wine cups (article in Museum) |
