In in shape of a curving oval horn set upright in the mouth of a dragon-like monster's head, its spiralling, bifid tail to form a ring-handle at the side, attached at its bifurcated end; the surface of the cup is carved with archaic bronze-style designs comprising an area of large interlocking T-scrolls, bands of varied interlaced C-scroll patterns in imitation of late Zhou style, with a shallow incised key-fret border around the lip. Underneath is a projection, apparently one of the feet on which the cup formerly stood.
