Table screens, a pair, each consisting of a plaque of pale green jade, carved in openwork with a landscape, and set in a narrow frame of dark wood inlaid with silver wire in a scrolling fret-pattern; at the back is a plaque of the same size and shape in gold-splashed lacquer, while on each side is a piece of pale-green jade carved in openwork with a symmetrical lotus-plant. The stands are of dark wood carved with raised scrolling frets, and slightly gilt on the front.

746-1903 shows rocks, water (represented by fretwork), pines, and buildings; two figures crossing a bridge, a third ploughing with an ox, while a fourth is carrying vessels with a yoke.
746A-1903 shows rocks, water (represented by fretwork), pines, and buildings; a figure is seated at a table under a pavilion, while another holds out a cloth to catch the leaves thrown down from a tree by a third, there is also a man resting with two yoked baskets, and a figure seen at the open window of a house.

Bequeathed by Mr. W. H. Cope, accessioned in 1903. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project.
