Brief description
Pair of anklets, cast silver, chased with an engraved inscription, Baroda, c.1898-1905.
Physical description
Two anklets with terminals in the form of stylized aquatic monster (makara) heads by Hargovind Hira, Lohar (member of the blacksmiths' caste).
These enormously heavy anklets may never have been intended for wear. They are elaborately decorated with chased and engraved silver.
