This simple brooch combines granular white enamel with patinated copper in a design influenced by modernist aesthetics. Construction and decoration merge in the regularly-spaced patinated strips which extend over the white enamel, which secure the back and front of the brooch together at its centre and around the circumference.

Physical description
A ring of granular white enamel is held in place by long dark prongs which extend from the backplate at regular intervals around the circumference of the brooch and from the hole in the centre. The enamelled ring is convex in section and the brooch is hollow. A pin projects at the back.
