Object history | Costume for Vulcan worn by Oliver Symons in Mary Skeaping's recreation of the 1717 ballet d'action "The Loves of Mars and Venus" originally choreographed by John Weaver. The music for the ballet was composed by Henry Symonds. The recreation was performed by Ballet For All in the programme 'The Twelfth Rose' at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, 16th September 1969. The ballet was also performed in a later Ballet For All programme "Sun King, Swan Queen". |
