The upper half of the Buddha Shrine encloses the figure of the Buddha seated on a lotus pedestal in full relief within a lattice of openwork symmetrical tracery. In the lower half four kneeling monks support themselves against the stem of the lotus pedestal, within a tracery arcade resting on the shoulders of four guardian Nats, each holding their hands a reverential position.
