'Indian Head Band' psychedelic poster, advertising an event at the Avalon Ballroom, 19-21 April 1988. Psychedelic image of a face with a headress made of blue hands covered with yellow stars. The face is green, and the yellow eyes are lined with decoratve black lines. The lower lip and the corners of the mouth are covered red, and there is a yellow and red bindi-like mark between the eyes. The headdress extends into a disc-like collar, and the whole head is framed by a pink area with a yellow outline. The background is green, and in lthe lower half of the poster has a white droplet motif pattern. At the middle finger of each hand / headress is the Family Dog symbol, and above the head are a list of the bands playing at the event, all in elaborate fonts: 'Steppenwolf April 19-21, Charley Musselwhite, The 4th Way, Indian Head Band'. Below the head is information about the venue: 'Lights: Electro Luminescence, Avalon Ballroom, Sutter and Vanness'.
