Envelope of grey paper. The front has an engraved emblematic design of allegorical figures. In the centre Britannia with a lion and a cornucopia at her feet extends a wreath towards a kneeling figure who beckons on figures symbolic of the four continents. To the right a group of manufactured articles with a distant view of the 1851 Exhibition Building. The point of the envelope has an embossed stamp of a garter enclosing a shield.
