Physical description
S.1:1:1998

Deep blue dress, with long sleeved bodice and full, straight, skirt. The bodice features a decorative pale pink rose at the proper left shoulder.

S.1:2-1998

Floor length, sleeveless, heavy, cream polyester petticoat, not lined. The bodice of the petticoat has a wide round neckline and wide shoulder straps. It is stiffened with channels of boning and fastens with lacing at the centre back rear. The petticoat fits closely to the figure and flares out from the waist into a wide skirt. The hem of the skirt is bordered with a wide flounce (25cms in width).
The petticoat shows signs of wear, particularly evident around small metal hooks present at the centre front of the bodice. A curved panel (48cms by 10cms at the widest point) has also been added at the front waistline of the petticoat (possibly a repair or modification).
