Bronze plaquette depicting Venus and Adonis. Venus sits holding the dying? Adonis on her knees and kissing him. Both figures are naked. On the left Cupid, two doves and part of a chariot, which with Venus' mantle forms the background. The two principal figures are of appliqué work in high relief.
