Physical description | Bronze plaquette depicting the triumph of Wealth. The car of Wealth (Opulentia) proceeds to the left drawn by two horses (Rapina et Fraus) their trappings ornamented with masks. Wealth is represented as a woman, holding crown and sceptre amid bags of money. Below her sits Pride (Superbia) with headress and looking glass. Deceit (Dolus) raises his whip and holds the reins. Beyond the horses on the left is Usury with two bags of gold. In the foreground on the right are Lust (Libido) and Treachery (Proditio) with their emblems. They are followed by false joy (Vana Laetitia) blowing soap bubbles, and the two false Pleasures (Vanae Voluptates) bearing a book and a vase. |
