This poster promotes unity amongst all members of the working class in order to successfully rise up against the exploitation of capitalism. The three figures represented are the intellectual fathers of Communism: Karl Marx (1818-1883), Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) - co-authors of the 1848 Communist Manifesto, and Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924), head of the Soviet Union's first government. This poster, with its red background, heroic leaders and slogans of Communist peace and unity, is a typical example of so-called 'Red' propaganda.
