Terracotta female figure painted with red slip. This figurine is hand-modelled with pinched features. Generally crafted by a 'Kumbhakar' (potter) or his wife and children, this type of figure is sold in a 'mela' (village fair) and is used by children as a doll. Often terracotta figure is also used to perform 'Vrata' (ritual) ceremonies.
