Black velveteen steeple hat, part lined with ivory coloured glazed cotton. The hat is made on a card foundation, and is finished with a hatband of narrow black petersham ribbon tied in a bow around the crown. The inside front of the brim is edged with a length of ivory coloured machine made lace to give the effect of the decorative cap traditionally worn beneath such a hat by Welsh women. A length of chin elastic has been attached to each side of the hat internally.
