Koloman Moser was a prolific designer of everything from book covers to furniture and interiors. He was a co-founder of the Vienna Secessionist movement in the late 1890s and of the Wiener Werkstatte ('Vienna Workshops') in 1903. This design for a woven textile wall hanging is one of a series of designs for flat patterns that he published as Die Quelle ('The Source') in 1901.
