Bust

1900 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The bust was made by the Florentine reproduction company, the manifattura di Signa. In the company's catalogue it is described as a copy of a polychromed wooden busy in the Louvre, ascribed to Desiderio da Settignano but now suspected to be a work by Bastianini. However the polychrome is quite different from that of the Louvre bust.
