Costume for the Firebird worn by Alicia Markova in Mikhail Fokine's ballet 'The Firebird', ca. 1950. The music for the ballet was composed by Igor Stravinsky. The costume was made by Mme Manya for concert appearances at the Royal Albert Hall in July 1950, but Markova developed appendicitis and the season was cancelled.
