Cut-out cardboard 'jumping jack' of a traditional 19th century clown composed of 13 sections representing the head and neck ruff, lower and upper arms, hand and red-hot poker, 2 upper legs in breeches, 2 lower legs and 2 shoes, fixed together with paper clips to allow for movement. He has a three-pointed hairstyle and his face is patterned in red and black. He wears a red and white ruffled clown costume with full sleeves above the elbow, and carries a red hot poker in his left hand. He has 4 strings - 2 shoulder strings and 2 elbow strings - fixed to one simple wooden bar control
