This poster is one of a series issued by the British Ministry of Health during World War II. Its dual purpose was to encourage citizens to evacuate unsafe areas and to host evacuees in safer places. From this photographic image of a woman and her baby, the viewer can assume that she is writing a letter to her husband, a soldier fighting the war.
