Object history | A (n unspecified) number of Winged Heads were made. The Prague Museum has one in grey-blue glass. At first it was suggested that this had been in the collection of the Ministry of Culture. Sylva Petrová subsequently confirmed that this example was purchased by the Museum later than 1962 from a source in Prague. It is presented to the V&A in exchange for a group of British studio glass to the same value. Winged Head I and II were first shown in the 1964 exhibition "Glass: Czechoslovakia and Italy", at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in New York. |
