Lee Friedlander (born 1934)
‘Jim Dine, London, England’
1969
Photographer Friedlander and Pop Artist Jim Dine collaborated in 1969, the same year Friedlander took this humorous portrait. Dine’s foot is extended towards the camera, out of proportion and overexposed. His gaze is stern and quizzical, as though surprised by the intrusion of the large foot.
