The carved wooden face has glass eyes and painted features, the ears are made of leather, and the hands and shoes are of carved and painted wood. His uniform comprises a red satin jacket with simulated brass buttons, black cotton trousers with side-stripes of yellow satin, and a stiff-peaked black woollen cap with a red woollen band and silver badge.
