Marionette of a male Indian character with carved and painted wooden face, head and body. He has a black painted handlebar moustache, black painted hair, a red bindi between the eyebrows and red markings on the nose, ears, eyes and lips. The body is of wood with chest and arms constructed from padding. His carved turban is painted red, black, green, yellow, blue and gold. He wears an orange long-sleeved cotton tunic decorated with gold and silver tinsel ribbons and edged with black muslin, below which is a long green muslin skirt edged with black muslin, and a cream cotton underskirt. He is a traditional one-stringed marionette, but lacks the string.
