Elizabeth Williams (born 1949)
Weathering the Storm, about 1983

In this set of images, Williams photographed abstracted surfaces of water and deliberately avoided perspective.
The sequence documents the passage of a storm over time yet also evokes a shifting emotive narrative. Her variations on the same subject are intended as a contemplative
visual mantra.
