Glove puppet of a Chinese man wearing a wide-sleeved blue silk kimono with lighter blue patterns woven into the fabric, lined with a salmon pink and pale green checked cotton material. The kimono has a high collar and is fastened down the front with black press studs. Carved head, neck and one articulated hand (the left hand is missing), set with a metal ring for string manipulation, painted white, with features delicately painted in black paint for the eyes, eyebrows and moustache, and pink paint for the lips, with black artificial hair attached for the curly hair and beard The puppet has blue trousers in the same fabric as the kimono and wears them over black painted boots with tan-coloured soles.
