Object history
This is one of a group of portraits of the family of Sir William Chambers, R.A., bequeathed to the National Portrait Gallery by Miss E. F. E. Pebardy. According to information provided by the testatrix, the sitter was born in Rome 22 July 1752; she married in 1775 John Milbank, son of Sir Ralf Milbank, and died 1 March 1795.
