Brief description | Leaf from Antiphoner. Initial S in blue on a gold ground bordered by green. Border decoration in gold ending in vines in green. France, early 15th century. A duplicate number MS.818 was assigned to this object in error and was subsequently cancelled. |
Physical description | Leaf from Antiphoner. Double-sided. Gothic script. Written in black ink, first verse of the antiphon in blue and red ink. Red staves and black notes. Decoration: Initial "S" in blue with green vines terminated by blue, green and brown leaves in inner part, on a gold ground bordered by green. Left bar border in gold ending in green vines and leaves. |
