Woven cotton with open work, ecru in colour throughout. Possibly intended to be a table covering. The decorative pattern consists of:
a) a zig-zag design at the top and bottom, 15 cm. deep, edged on the side by regular square "piercing";
b) a 13 cm. frame with corner meander enclosing 8 pointed stars and large flat, fan-shaped motifs:
c) a central panel of a peacock in profile with scattered butterflies, 8 pointed stars and rosette motifs.
Two selvedges
There is a 7.5cm. fringe at each end. Two selvedges.
