Possibly skirt material. Printed cotton with 'batik' patterning. On a deep red ground patterned with stylised leafy tree outlined in blue and 'black' (ie blue on red) with some white highlights, is a repeat motif of a large peacock facing left across its back and hanging tail feathers again in blue and 'black' with white highlights. A blue border runs along the left selvage above the peacocks' heads, while the tail feathers reach the deep red ground and blue border of the right selvedge. Two selvedges.
