This is the private view card for the exhibition The Shape of Colour: RED, 1999-2000. Curated by Jane Pavitt, this exhibition explored the cultural and pyschological meanings of the colour red, and its connotations of danger, sexuality, power and politics. The card itself uses colour, symbols and text to convey some of these meanings.

Physical description | Invitation consisting of five oblong cards hinged together at one corner in the form of paint colour charts. Each card printed entirely in red and white. One card painted in a spectrum of reds (pale pink, 10% red - scarlet, 100% red). Captions include 'No Entry' and 'No Unauthorised Entry'. |
