Satirical print showing the bedraggled French army marching while birds circle overhead. In the foreground is a donkey, abandoned by it's rider; the boots of a general still in the stirrups. The donkey appears to be reviewing the army as it files past. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
