Leaf from Antiphoner. 2-line historiated initial B with blue foliate letter-shape and the Trinity, God holding Christ on the Cross with dove above on burnished gold and party-coloured green and pink frame. Acanthus scrolls in margin. Germany (Mainz?) ca 1490. A duplicate number MS.599 was assigned to this object in error and was subsequently cancelled.

Purchased from Heberle in Cologne in 1857 as part of a group of cuttings (Museum nos 3046-3049). Transferred from the Art Museum to the Library in December 1863.
