Reynolds (Lugt 2364); Dyce Bequest 1869 LITERATURE Dyce Catalogue no. 234 (as by Jacopo Tintoretto) The old attribution to Tintoretto, maintained till lately, is clearly wrong, though his influence may be present. The drawing may be by a Flemish aritist working in Italy, like Hans Speeckaert. The compostion is reminiscent of Titian’s painting in S. Maria della Salute, Venice.
