Dress worn by Jennie Linden. Dress in clear blue crepe de chine with long elasticated sleeves and rounded collar attached to a V neck; the bodice has a back and front yoke, the yoke in front being decorated with fan shaped 'pockets' embroidered and beaded to match the 'Ikat' scarf (S.732C-1983), buttoned down by a covered button and loop. The bodice is pleated into a waistband. The calf length skirt is pleated into the waistband and finished at the hem in a deep frill. The dress fastens down the front from neck to frill with covered buttons and loops.

| Object history | Costume worn by Jennie Linden in the musical 'This Thing Called Love' performed at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, September 1982. The music and lyrics were compiled by David Kernan & John Moffat from various authors and composers, and the show was produced by Wendy Toye. The costume were designed by Bill Gibb using silk presented by the European Commission for the Promotion of Silk. |
