Object history | Purchased from Kruchen in Bonn in 1858, together with 6 other initials, some of which are from the same manuscript (now Museum nos 4023-4029). Recorded in the Register of Drawings as 'Seven initial letters cut from a choral-book, 12th century work'. Cuttings from the same manuscript in the V&A collection: Museum nos 4025, 4026, 4028. |
