Object history | This card was part of a series of 'The Language of Flowers' valentines created by the perfumier Eugène Rimmel in the 1870s and 1880s. It may have been designed by Jules Chéret, an artist who collaborated with Rimmel on many of his paper products. The card would originally have been scented with one of Rimmel's perfumes. |
